About Us

RANDY GODEAU started Bay Area Kitchens back in 1983 and is still active in the day to day operations of the company while working together with his staff on his and their projects.  His background in all phases of design and construction gives him a unique and broad perspective in both new construction and remodeling projects, and his love for cooking augments his kitchen design knowledge and experience.  He operated the business out of his home in Friendswood for the first seven years.  Then in 1990 he moved into his current showroom in Webster, where he is able to showcase his products and services and house his Design Staff.

Their SHOWROOM in Webster, Texas features Wood-Mode ™ custom cabinetry, countertops in granite, glass, quartz and other materials, LED and other lighting, high-end appliances featuring a state-of-the-art induction* / convection range in a live, fully-functioning kitchen, and much more (*if you’ve never seen an induction cooktop in action, be sure to ask for a quick demonstration).

They are active members of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), an award winning member of the Better Business Bureau of Metropolitan Houston with a consistent A+ rating, and are members of the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.

CAROLINE JONES, Kitchen Designer:  Caroline’s experience of over 21 years as a residential home designer has produced hundreds of projects in varying styles including Mediterranean, Tuscan, Victorian, Ranch & Contemporary, ranging from small, restful lake retreats with leisure outdoor living spaces, beach cabins with panoramic views and soaring ceilings, to rambling lodges in the hills of Texas. Her reputation for accuracy and style has allowed her to create homes for clients from Louisiana to Michigan to Texas. In 2010 Caroline joined a specialized design team for a major kitchen design firm in Houston that concentrated strictly on kitchen & bath designs where her diverse design experience and her interpretation of lifestyle needs blended perfectly with the beautiful designs necessary for these individualized spaces. While there she discovered her passion for the contemporary. She remained with that team until December 2012 when she joined our design team here at Bay Area Kitchens which not only allows her to be closer to her home and the water, but allows her to partner with a company that provides the design as well as all aspects of the project from start to finish.

B. SCOTT HAIG, CKD (Certified Kitchen Designer) and Architectural and Kitchen/Bath Designer:  Scott comes to Bay Area Kitchens adding with his high regard for fine design and attention to detail to the tradition already established there since 1983. Graduating from Kansas State University’s College of Architecture and Design, Scott has over 20 years design experience—overseeing construction of both residential and commercial projects. Two of his recent projects (2009, 2010) were recognized in Qualified Remodeler’s Master Design Awards.

Kitchens and baths are at the center of the home, and Scott makes it his focus as he collaborates with clients on their projects. With an eye toward beauty, simplicity, and elegance, Scott helps clients recognize the potential in the space that surrounds them.

Gladly accompanying clients in the design-through-installation process, Scott can offer helpful suggestions with materials, colors, fixtures, appliances and lighting, to create or renew spaces to enjoy. The process of taking ideas from paper to production—and in doing so, creating the homes that are vibrant and welcoming— is what Scott truly enjoys about the practice of design. Scott makes his own home in the Seabrook area.
